It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 17^th Biennial Congress of the Australian Institute of Physics. The Congress will be held from 3 - 8 December 2006 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre - on the banks of the Brisbane River.

The Congress will bring together physicists from around Australia. Plenary and keynote lectures by world-leading researchers, both national and international, will ensure a vibrant and exciting program.
